Surveys and Monitoring

Regulatory authorities request periodically inspections and monitoring of the structural integrity of offshore buildings and wind farms. These periodical investigations needs to be in accordance with the requirements and demands of rules and standards provided by classification societies. The main goal is to detect structural deficiencies, damages or fatigue, for example due to corrosion or other changing environmental conditions. Such kind of rule-consistent periodical inspections are offered by ESOS:

Inspection of corrosion and plate thickness reduction

Functionality of corrosion protection systems

Inspection of local structural details (e. g. openings for cables)

Inspection of secondary mounted structures (e. g. boatlanding)

Weld inspection

Measurement of marine growth

Measurement of scouring and scouring protection system

Inspection of changes at imperfections (unevenness, ovality etc.)
